LaRae Walker Smith - LaRae is part of "The Walker Family" that has visited the Smyth County Jam a couple of times. LaRae is a very accomplished banjo player both in claw-hammer and Scruggs' three-finger style. She also adds a lovely high-tenor voice to the mix. LaRae along with her sisters Meghan, Kendra and Alisa make up the Redhead Express.
Her musical family also consist of Apryll & Brett (mom and dad) along with her brothers, Sean, Ammon and Joseph. This is an incredible family of musicians and singers that are destined to go far in the music world. The family is originally from Palmer, Alaska.
