Frank Wing - Frank Wing is a relatively newcomer to the Smyth County Jam, and a very welcome one as well! He lives in Elizabethton. Tennessee at present. Frank is a retired biology teacher, who has begun a second career: teaching banjo and guitar at East Tennessee University, in the bluegrass program. Impeccable credentials! He played with Larry Blevins and the Virginia Mountain Boys in the 1960's. Frank's father played fiddle and he learned some from him. He belongs to an Irish-Scottish group;"Sigean" currently. Frank says he can play bass, but does not particularly like to. The bands he admires are Flatt and Scruggs and the old Country Gentlemen.
