Mike West - Mike came to the Smyth County Jam tonight from Christiansburg, VA and is originally from Mechanicsville, VA. He plays guitar, and is learning to play bass. He is a great singer, but is not in a band at present. Mike says his wife is learning to play mandolin. He got interestedin music by listening to the radio, and has been playing Bluegrass since 2008. Some of his favorite groups are Balsam Range, The Steel Drivers and Della Mae. His impression of the Smyth County Jam was; "nice, nice people and great musicians". We hope Mike finds his way back to the jam soon and often.
