Peco Watson - We would like to welcome Peco to the Smyth County Jam and hope that he comes again. Another member of the Crooked Road Ramblers, Peco comes from the community of Baywood, near Galax, Virginia. Peco has played claw hammer banjo for thirty years or more. He says his brother played country music, but no other family was into music, that he knows of. Peco played with the New Ballard Branch Bogtrotters for twenty years. This was another Galax based band who had a huge fan base; and well-deserved. Peco likes to hunt and fish and of course; play music. He has two daughters. Peco is retired from Volvo Trucks. One of his favorite musicians is Roy Orbison.
