Barbara Walton - Barbara Walton lives on Mill Creek, Chilhowie, Virginia and has attended the Smyth County Jam, but this is her first time on stage. Tonight, she played bass with Mary Munsey. Barbara teaches music at Abingdon Elementary School. She says her father played fiddle. She has three children; two boys and a girl. We are happy to have her on the stage at the Smyth County Jam. Barbara plays bass, piano and a little fiddle. She started playing music early in her life, at about nine years old. Barbara also belongs to an excellent band; The Rafferty Knob Ramblers. When time and weather permit she goes to Emily Spencer's classes at Mount Rogers School. Barbara says she likes music of all kinds. Elvis is one of her favorites.
