Kilby Spencer - Kilby began to learn to play fiddle at about age ten. He is also a very talented guitarist. His parents Emily and Thornton Spencer, have been his influences, as well as the late Albert Hash his father's brother-in-law, and Dean Sturgill of Ashe County, NC. Kilby currently lives at Mouth of Wilson, VA and works at Blue Ridge Business Development in Sparta, NC. The Smyth County Jam always welcomes Kilby with open arms. At age twenty-four he is a very accomplished musician in every sense of the word. Kilby is always in demand to play with some of the best musicians at fiddler's conventions etc. Kilby has his own group now; the Crooked Road Ramblers.
