Isaac Smith - What a great surprise to welcome a very talented and youthful fiddler to the Smyth County Jam. Isaac Smith has come from Grand Rapids, Michigan to go into the bluegrass program at ETSU. Isaac is seventeen years old; a very nice fiddler, and he plays a little guitar. He will be an asset to the ETSU bluegrass program. Isaac has a brother and a sister and of course parents! He has no family who play music, however. He says he likes hunting and fishing and outdoor activities. Isaac is undecided as to a career choice at present time. He says he admires the music of the Country Gentlemen. Currently he has no favorite song. When he performed Monday night at the Smyth County Jam he was filling in with the "Raisin Cain Band." for an absent member. We look for great music out of this young man. Hopefully, he will come back whenever possible.
