Jacky Ray - Jacky lives in Swords Creek, VA. He has played twelve to fourteen years; a master of the dobro and also plays banjo and guitar. The Smyth County Jam is delighted that Jacky would make the trip over here to entertain us. Jacky does not play with a band on a regular basis, but sometimes plays with the Tim Tolliver band. He is semi-retired from his trucking business. Jacky admires is the band of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. Jacky won the dobro contest at Galax Fiddler's Convention two times in the 90's! He is a friendly fellow and quite easy to talk with. We invite him to come back at any time.
