Raisin Cain Bluegrass - The Smyth County Jam is happy to have this up and coming relatively new band Raisin Cain Bluegrass visit. They are one of the busiest bands in this area.
The band consists of Rick McReynolds, formerly of Bristol, now living in the Marion, VA area. Rick plays mandolin and bass and is a singer as well. He is involved in automobile sales.
Courtney Wright is a young vibrant banjo picker, who comes from a musical family. She has won and/or placed in many competitions.
The extraordinary young fiddle player is Crystal Shipley who comes to the Smyth County Jam from her home in Kingsport, Tennessee. She is about fifteen years old.
On guitar is Randy Blevins from Kingsport, Tennessee. He plays guitar and bass. Randy is employed by Eastman.
On bass is Aaron Tipton who lives in Nickelsville, VA. He makes his living in the music field. He enjoys fishing and hunting in his 'down time.
