Larry Prevatte - Larry Prevatte is a newcomer to the Smyth County Jam. We are happy to welcome him to our venue. Larry makes his home in Duffield, Virginia. He has a wife and one adult child, also he has five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Larry plays harmonica as well as rythmn guitar. He says he does not sing. He is in 3 bands: "Three C's in Christ", "Durham Chapel Quartet" and "Addie Keene and Friends." Larry's uncle played harmonica, accordian and auto harp. This uncle encouraged him in harmonica. Larry began playing music about forty-five years ago. He likes Addie Keen and Friends Band as well as being an admirer of Johnny Cash's music. Larry says his favorite song is Dolly Parton's "Wild Flowers." He says the Smyth County Jam has their jam together! Addie Keene told Larry about the jam. He runs a jam in Duffield from March through November. We hope Larry will come back to entertain us soon.
