Ron & Nancy Onesong - The Smyth County Jam is delighted to welcome first -comers to our venue. The Onesongs are a married duet and are as professional as we can imagine. They come to us from upstate New York (Medina, New York) and are now living in Bristol, Virginia. Their credentials are fascinating! They play guitars, mandolin, harmonica and a 'little' fiddle. While in New York they operated a farm to tour buses where they put on musical shows, hayrides, bed and breakfast lodgings, barn dances etc. The farm is located close to the historical Erie Canal, and is called "The Medina Stone Farm." The Onesongs have opened for many well-known musicians; such as Tommy Cash, Mickey Gilley, Stonewall Jackson to mention a few. Both love traditional and bluegrass music. The Onesongs have played about everywhere one could mention. Locally, they have performed at the Pickin' Porch, and the Crooked Road General Store. To view their website go to www.onesongcountry.com for a more complete look at these two very talented people. Ron says his favorite musician/singer is Hank Williams Sr. Nancy likes Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells. We hope to see more of them as time goes by here at the Smyth County Jam.
