Chris Mullins - The Smyth County Jam welcomes a member of Lonesome Will Mullin's and Surefire Band to our stage. Chris has played bass for about five years. He travels with Will's band. He also plays guitar. Chris makes his home in Castlewood, Virginia when he is not on the road with the band. He says he has no family member who plays a musical instrument before he began to do so. The fact that he has no wife or children, makes it ideal to travel far and wide. Some of his favorite musicians are The Stanley Bothers, Tony Rice, Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt and Dan Tyminski. Incidentally, he says he is not related to Lonesome Will Mullins.
