Chris Monk - Chris comes to the Smyth County Jam from Honaker, Virginia. He has played banjo for about twelve years. Chris also plays dobro. His intentions are to enroll in the bluegrass program at East Tennessee University in the coming fall of this year. Chris says his great-uncle played banjo and another uncle also plays . Chris says he likes to listen to Flatt and Scruggs., Ralph Stanley, and Scott Vestal.
