Mike McPeak - Mike is Adam's father, he lives in Wytheville, VA. Mike is part of "Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder" and is doing a great job of exposing Adam and friends to great Bluegrass music. He is employed by Hutchinson Sealing Systems in Wytheville. Mike plays guitar and sings as well. He admits to playing a "little" on mandolin. The Mc Peak Brothers Band played all over the area from the late sixties. Mike says he was five years old when he started playing music; along with his brothers Udell, Dewey, and Larry. The brothers played some off and on until last November (2008). Mike is now a member of Adam's Mountain Thunder Band. Mike picks Rhonda Vincent and Doyle Lawson as some of his favorite musicians. We are always please at the Smyth County Jam when we see Mike and Mountain Thunder come through the door.
