Jack Martin - The Smyth County Jam was very pleased to welcome Jack Martin and Mrs. Martin. They come to us from up near Suffolk, Virginia. the town of Franklin. Jack is retired from Paul D. Camp Community College, where he was a professor of biology. He says he only began to play bass after he retired. Currently he is not a member of a band , but enjoys jamming here and there. He has played in several bands, however. He and Mrs. Martin are traveling the Crooked Road and taking pleasure in it all. They remarked that they felt the warmth of our brand of SW Virginia hospitality, and hoped to return to visit again. We sincerely hope so too.
