Lowell Marshall - We are happy to see Lowell Marshall at the Smyth County Jam. He lives in Nickelsville, Virginia. Lowell is retired from the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy. He plays bass and says he has played rhythm guitar all his life. Travelling is one of his pastimes; he has visited forty-nine states in all. He and his brother drove all the way to Alaska sometime back. That was a whale of a trip!! Lowell has three grown children, five grandchildren and one great grand child. Lowell says he is very much a traditionalist when it comes to his favorite type of music; people like Flatt and Scruggs and all those legends we admire. He says there are just too many good selections that he likes that he could not name one favorite song. We hope to see Lowell back at the Smyth County Jam when he can come.
