Wen-Tjen Lim ( Phonetically say: "Wenchen") - Wen-Tjen is visiting the Smyth County Jam all the way from Australia. He is of Chinese extraction, born in Maylasia, but raised in Australia. Wen-Tjen lives in a large city south of Sydney called Wollongong, where he is a receptionist and an administrator at a medical facility. He is an exceptional fiddler; very smooth and relaxed, easy to listen to... He met Martha Spencer and Jackson Cunningham when they were touring in Australia, becoming friends at once and an admirer of their brand of music. Wen-Tjen says he is learning guitar as well as picking up some finer points on the fiddle from the Spencers. He says he is a single man looking for a nice southern girl. Wen-Tjen 's grandfather played a fiddle and he says it skipped a generation to get to him; however he got it, it is an undeniable talent. This is his first trip to Virginia; we hope it will not be his last one. Beside having great admiration for the Whitetop Mountain Band he likes Bobby Hicks style of music.
