Ryan Lester - Ryan is from Hurley, Virginia. He has been playing music for about fifteen years. Ryan plays mandolin, guitar and bass. He came to the Smyth County Jam with the Bluegrass Kinsmen. Ryan is a recent high school graduate, who hopes to go into law enforcement as a career. Ryan is the grandson of Dean Jackson, who also came to the jam with the Bluegrass Kinsmen. He says he likes the music of the Lonesome River Band and Blue Highway . Favorite songs are "Marianne" and "Perfume, Powder and Lead."
