Conner Lambert - Conner Lambert came a long way to visit the Smyth County Jam-- all the way from Troutman, North Carolina, in fact! Connor is a mandolin picker and a very good one at that. He plays a hard-driving style of bluegrass music. Connor also plays bass and guitar. He is a pastor of The Church of GOD in Troutman; he has held this position for twenty-five years. He says his dad played music (guitar) and his grandpa as well (banjo). He says he has been playing for about thirty-six years. Connor says he admires the music and voice of Carter and Ralph Stanley. One of his favorite songs is "Mansion on the Hill". Connor plays in a band called "Sons of the South." We hope that he will be able to visit us again at the Smyth County Jam.
