Dean Jackson - The Smyth County Jam welcomes Dean Jackson to our venue. Dean comes to us from Hurley, Virginia. He has one daughter. Dean's father and two brothers played music. He is retired from a coal preparation plant. Dean says he and Steven Mounts (a musician from Hurley) have played together, we miss Steve at the jam. He states he likes the music of Tony Rice, but does not have a favorite song. Dean came to the Smyth County jam with the Bluegrass Kinsmen; he says he fills in with the group as he is needed.
