Don Hill - Don Hill is also a member of the Crooked Road Ramblers. He hails from Fries, Virginia. Don plays guitar, mandolin, a 'little' bass and also sings quite well. Don says his father played in several bands. Don is employed as a janitor at Fries Recreation Center. He says he likes to fish now and then. He has two sons, one is married and one single. Both his boys play music. He has played with the New Ballard Branch Bogtrotters and the Whitetop Mountain band. Don says he admires the music of Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Whitetop Mountain band and The Bogtrotters. The Smyth County Jam was please to have this talented individual.
