Jared Hensley - Here at the Smyth County Jam we are always so happy to see the young people who play music and especially the bluegrass pickers. Jared Hensley is one of these very talented students at ETSU who is enrolled in their Bluegrass program. Jared plays banjo and is an excellent singer. He also plays guitar, mandolin and bass. Jared's grandfather taught him to play mandolin and guitar. He has also had other inspirations in his music. He is currently a junior in his chosen field of bluegrass music. Jared likes the music of Tony Rice and the Bluegrass Album Band. Jared is also a devout hunter. We hope he will return to visit the Smyth County Jam as often as time permits.
