Sammy Hagy - The Smyth County Jam looks forward to seeing someone who is almost always member of our audience. He is very faithful to attend the jam. Sammy lives in Chilhowie, Virginia. Usually a friend will drive him to the music, and often another will take him home. Sammy says he would like to play music; he has two guitars and will try to learn as time goes by. He is employed by (IDC) a work shop in the industrial park in Atkins. He has been working there since 1999. He spent some time working for Goodwill Industries in Florida. Sammy is unmarried; he thinks there are some very pretty girls around these parts. Sammy belongs to Chilhowie Church of Christ. He says he likes the music of Johnny Cash. He likes to hear guitar and banjo played together One of Sammy's favorite songs is" The Green, Green Grass of Home." Sammy has a lady friend he writes to in Florida. We are always happy when Sammy comes to the jam.
