Jimmy Greer - We are happy to welcome a new member of the Dry Fork Band to the Smyth County Jam. Jimmy Greer has lately retired from the Army and makes his home across the mountain in Whitetop, Virginia. Jimmy plays a really nice blue grass banjo and has a good singing voice to add to the mix. He admits he can play a 'little guitar, ( "but not in public", as he puts it!) One of his grandfathers played the fiddle but that was a long time ago and he has no memory of it. Jimmy says he likes the music of the Stanley Brothers, Flatt and Scruggs and most traditional bluegrass musicians.
