Kinsey Greene - The Smyth County Jam has the honor of welcoming a newcomer once again . Kinsey Greene comes to us from Boone, North Carolina. She plays bass and guitar and sings as well. Kinsey says her great- grandfather, great aunt and two great uncles were musicians. At this time Kinsey is involved with Cane Mill Road Bluegrass Band as well as her own band called Kinsey Greene and the Bluegrass Mafia. She says she has been singing since before she could walk! Kinsey got interested in playing music through her family. She began playing guitar four years ago, and bass about three years past. She says she has always loved bluegrass music. Kinsey has one sister. She is in the eleventh grade at Watauga High School; also she is in a nursing program at the same time. Kinsey enjoys working with special needs children. She says she heard about the Smyth County Jam through friends. Two of her favorite groups are Russell Moore and Third Tyme Out and Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. There are too many songs / tunes to pick a favorite one, Kinsey states. Her first impression of the jam is a good one, she says she wants to return and we hope she can come again soon!
