Matthew Foster - Matthew hails from Chilhowie, where he is a junior in High School. He plays guitar, piano, bass, dulcimer and ... as he says "etc". Matthew has been playing guitar about five years. This is the first time Matthew has visited the Smyth County Jam. We are always so pleased to see the young folks taking an interest in our music! Matthew says his great-uncle, Carol Shores, plays guitar . He has three sisters ;two younger and one older. Matthew is planning to be a music major when he enters college. He is considering East Tennessee University. Bluegrass Program. He claims Paul McCartney as a favorite musician. A favorite song is the Beatles' "Blackbird." We sincerely hope Matthew will visit Smyth County Jam often.
