Taze Farmer

Earl Taze Farmer (1936-2009) - Taze was one of our most loved performers at the Smyth County Jam. We were always entertained when he took the stage and sang "Poor Valley Blues" like he wrote it. Taze was a great person, and I feel honored to have picked with him and to have called him my friend. Everyone at the Smyth County Jam seemed to love him. He is dearly missed.....Larry Hogston
