Joe Culbertson - The Smyth County Jam is happy to welcome Joe Culbertson. Joe is a first-timer here this week. He comes from Kokomo, Indiana, where he is a police officer. Joe has roots in southwestern Virginia, being born in this area. Joe plays guitar and banjo...and radio, as he puts it! He has property in Virginia and plans to come back here to live when he retires. He says the music he hears in Indiana is not what he gets here. Joe hopes to play with the Hollow Ground Band upon his return. He has been involved in music for about fifteen years. Joe's favorite musician/singer is Dan Tyminski. He says he has too many favorite songs to name just one. The Smyth County Jam hopes Joe will return every chance he gets.
