Claudia Colombo - The Smyth County Jam is honored to have Claudia Colombo in our midst. Claudia is from Switzerland! She and her friend Zoe Barclay are touring music venues here in the USA. They have been to the Carter Fold and to Floyd to County Sales (a record/ CD store). When they leave Chilhowie, their next stop is Knoxville after which they will go to New Orleans and on home. Claudia lives in Lugano, Switzerland (the Italian speaking part) and attends the University of Zurich. She says she saw a movie which featured the band; "The Old Crow Medicine Show" and fell in love with this type music. Claudia states she plays 'a little fiddle. She found the Smyth County Jam via the website. Claudia says she might become a teacher, but has not definitely decided at this point in time. Her favorite band is "The Old Crow Medicine Show." A favorite song is "Fall on my Knees." The Smyth County Jam likes nothing better than to see young folks from all over take an interest in our music.
