Barry Collins - This is Barry Collins first visit to the Smyth County Jam! He says he thinks this is a good jam, well-set up Barry was born in Radford, Virginia, he lives in Floyd, Virginia at present. Barry is not married. He plays banjo, bass and guitar, and sings also. Barry was with the popular band "Upland Express" for 38 years, as of late he is just playing with people he meets. Both sides of Barry's family played music, and that got him interstred in playing. He began playing at about age 16, says he was a 'late bloomer! His favorite musicians are "New Grass Revival". Barry says the song "The Dancer" is one of his favorites. He learned about the Smyth County jam via Facebook and through Larry Hogston. Barry is employed by Moog Componets in Blacksburg. Virginia.
