John Casey - We don't see near enough of John Casey at the Smyth County Jam. He makes his home in Glade Spring, VA, when he is not travelling in his profession. John is a former member of the ever popular FESCUE band. He is a fine guitarist and can belt out a song as well as any one to grace our stage. John says he can play a little bit on every instrument; he also states his dad plays most instruments and his uncles play too--a clearly talented family. John has written some songs, he modestly says ;"dabbled " in song writing. He looks up to some of the giants in music: Charlie Waller, Carter Stanley, Tony Rice along with several others. John works for the railroad and soon will become an engineer.
