Ethan Casey - The Smyth County Jam was delighted to welcome a young fellow to our venue. Ethan Casey comes from Abingdon, Virginia. He is in the third grade. He plays bass (about a foot taller than Ethan) he sings and says he is learning guitar. This is Ethan's first time at the jam. This time he was with the Rafferty Knob Ramblers; Jim and Agnes King. Ethan has only been playing since July! His dad, granddad, aunt and uncle all play music. Ethan says his dad taught him. He enjoys playing lots of sports as well as his music. Ethan has a fraternal twin brother who is taking piano lessons. He says he likes to help his Pa (grandfather) feed the cattle and drive the tractor. Ethan's favorite musicians are the very popular Kruger Brothers. We hope that Ethan can come back to the jam as soon as he can. Ethan is a young person to watch and cherish his music.
