Vickie Boyd - The Smyth County Jam welcomes Vickie Boyd (mother of Jared) to our venue. Vickie says she mostly plays autoharp now days; she used to play guitar also. Vickie is employed by Nancy's Candy Company;" a sweet job!" in Meadows of Dan. She comes from a musical family; both parents were musically inclined as well as an uncle. Her mother was in the band "The Laurel Fork Travelers." Vickie says she admires the original Carter Family's music. A favorite song is "Will You Miss Me?" We at the Smyth County Jam, hope to see more of the Boyd family in the days to come.
