Noland Boyd - We welcome Noland Boyd to the Smyth County Jam. Noland is from Grundy, Virginia and is married to Alicia Boyd. Along with his sister Altisa Blankenship they make up the Sunset Hollow Gospel Grass band. Most of their material is written by one or the other of the three. Noland plays guitar and all of the group sing. He says he is learning to play banjo too. The Boyd's have two children who are grown. Noland works as a bulldozer operator for Russell Fork Logging. They like all sorts of music but prefer mainly bluegrass.
