Hal Boyd - We welcome Hal Boyd to the Smyth County Jam from his home in Bristol, Tennessee. Hal plays bass and sings. His great-uncle, Lawrence Boyd, played bass for Leon Kiser. Hal has been playing about ten years. He is self-employed at Boyd's Bicycle Shop in Bristol Tennessee; doing repair, sales and some locksmithing. Hal is single. He says his favorite music is JD Crowe and the New South band. His favorite song is Rock, Salt and Nails by that group.
