Jonah Blevins - Jonah is a ten year old young man, who happens to be Larry Blevins' grandson. He will be in the fifth grade this fall. Not so very long ago Larry began bringing Jonah with him to the jam; needless to say he fit right in, Jonah is coming along really well on the mandolin and admits he plays some guitar; but not on stage. If he keeps on with his ambition to become a musician in later years, he will succeed it that field, due in no small part to his teacher Grandpa Larry, the Smyth County Jam is very pleased to see the younger generation taking hold and plunging ahead with their music. Jonah is also a member of the musical Thweat family, on his mother's side. He says he likes listening to Bill Monroe, Ricky Scaggs and Doyle Lawson. Jonah has two younger brothers, we can always hope they show an inclination to play some time. We hope to see Jonah many more times at the jam.
