Mitch Bentley - It is good to see Mitch Bentley back at the Smyth County Jam. He says he has been here a few times before this visit Mitch was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, however, he now lives in Coeburn, Virginia. He has a daughter who is grown. Mitch plays bass fiddle, he says he does NOT sing. He plays bass with Jeff Clair and Half Past Lonesome Band. Mitch's father plays guitar, he says no one else in his family are involved in music. His dad stimulated his interest in music. Mitch has played since he was about twelve years old; thirty-seven years or so. Mitch does not have a favorite musician or song, he says he likes all of it!. He heard about the Smyth County Jam from Facebook. Mitch's impression of the jam is; that he has enjoyed it a lot. Mitch works for Alpha Natural Resources. It is our pleasure to have Mitch visit the Smyth County jam when he is able to come.
