Larry Anderson - Larry says this is his first time at the Smyth County Jam; we hope it will not be his last! He sings well and is able to play several instruments: guitar, fiddle ,mandolin and banjo which he plays most often. Larry makes his home in Abingdon, VA. He is a retired truck driver for Mid-mountain Foods. Larry says he has been playing since he was about fifteen years, beginning on the guitar. A grandfather whom he never saw was a banjo-player. Larry's band is called "L and S Bluegrass Express". See Larry to purchase their CD's.

ABINGDON, Va. Larry James Anderson, 65, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Harmon Anderson; and two brothers, William "Sam" Anderson and Clyde Anderson. Survivors include one daughter, Haley Jo Mayes of Rogersville, Tenn.; one brother, Roger Anderson (Jackie); three sisters, Lucille Hoss, Elizabeth Roark (Jr.), and Jane Bowers (Jack); and one sister-in-law, Brenda Anderson. Larry loved playing the guitar and singing gospel music at Swartz Chapel Church. His wishes were to be cremated with no visitation or service.
